You can make your home more attractive to prospective buyers and increase your likelihood of a positive home inspection report by performing routine maintenance and repairs now.

Exterior Components

  • Repair minor defects in the exterior wall coverings.

  • Repair damaged masonry on walkways and steps.

  • Repair missing or loose railing on decks and steps.

  • Repair missing or torn screens.

  • Recaulk around exterior windows and doors.

  • Repair any dryrot or fungus on doorframes, fascia, eves, etc.

  • Check around garage doors.

  • Replace missing or damaged shingles. Look for any roof problems.

  • Recaulk around flashing. Look for any water intrusion or leaks.

  • Inspect and clean gutters.

  • Ensure downspouts are intact and water drains away from the house.
